Signing in to Oracle Calendar for the first time
Once the Oracle Calendar program has been installed on your computer, you can follow the
instructions below to sign on.
Start the Oracle Calendar program.
At the Oracle Calendar Sign-In window, select the Other button.
At the next window, select New.
At the next window, fill in the following fields: Connection Name:
CUMC Calendar Server:
ldap.cpmc.columbia.edu
Click on the Lookup button to the right of the Server field.
In the Connection Configuration window that appears, make sure that Configure at login from user name is selected, and click on the Configure button.
Select the OK button at the bottom of the window to close it. You will be brought back to the Connection Manager
window, and should now see CUMC Calendar listed.
Select CUMC Calendar so it is highlighted, and select the Make Default button. Then select the OK button (or
Done if using a Mac system) to save the new connection.
You will be brought back to the Sign-In window. Logon by typing in your name or your Columbia UNI for the User Name.
Use the password that was given to you when you were notified that your Oracle Calendar account was created. You can change your initial
password once you have opened the program, by going to Tools in the top menu and selecting the Change Password option.
NOTE: You may be prompted to install an off-line Agenda when you first sign in. This will allow use of Oracle's Address Book, and let you access a local copy of your Agenda if you are not online.
To use an off-line Agenda, select Yes, or select No to skip this option. You can still install an off-line Agenda at a later time by going into your Oracle Calendar Preferences.
