The WDS has established a number of policies designed to make your work with us go as smoothly as possible. If at any time you have a question or concern about a policy, you are encouraged to contact the Web Design Studio Manager.

WDS Service Level Agreements ("Contracts")

• Written estimates will be provided for all project work. Once a client approves an estimate, a binding Service Level Agreement is drafted for client sign-off.
• No work will begin on a project unless a signed SLA is on file with the WDS.
• Hosting, Developers' Accounts, and Domain Name Registration requests do not require an SLA. However, no request will be processed with an account (IDI) number or prepayment.

Fixed Fee Services

• Charges for fixed fee services, such as hosting, developer's accounts, etc. are billed in June at the end of the CUMC fiscal year using the account number provided by the client.

Hourly Services

• The charge schedule for hourly services is as follows:
  • 1/3 Upon receipt of signed contract by WDS.
  • 1/3 When half the contract time has been used.
  • 1/3 Upon client approval and Web site launch.
• Charges are processed using "Internal Department Invoices." Due to the large number of clients that the WDS services, clients may not receive notice of charges processed.
• All clients with an SLA are entitled to request how many hours they have left in their contract at any time. The WDS is happy to provide a written balance statement.
• Project management is billed at $58 per hour. For maintenance and new contracts larger than 2 weeks, project management time is billed on a prorated basis depending on the duration of the contract. For production/maintenance contracts of two weeks or less, the project management fee is a flat $406.
